Aakanksha Bhargava, a young 21-year-old girl who stepped into her father’s business as an underdog, as someone who wasn’t considered the “fit” into the unorganized global relocation industry. She often found herself youngest amidst most of the international forums. From here began her impressive journey of bringing together a team of people much elder to her in age and experience, and set an example of building a culture which is both employee friendly yet full of learnings.
Today, she is an inspiring radiant and well-known face not only in the moving industry she represents, but also amongst the few well known young woman leaders in the country. She has been instrumental in not only taking her family legacy forward but also giving a new definition to what small businesses can do and achieve. She enjoys interacting with people and most importantly believes in sharing her journey and learning. She is also a member of ‘The Outstanding Speakers Bureau’ where she aims to actively inspire others through her learning. She was also a guest lecturer for a session organized at Delhi School of Economics organized by the division of MHROD and has been invited to many more universities and colleges.
Today her baby, PMR (PM Relocations Pvt. Ltd.), is one of the most admired organizations of India in the crowded relocations Industry. The team that she leads reflects her passion, character and the unbeatable value system. Her success story of expanding the organization, from a small team in few cities to a large team within multiple cities, has been featured by many leading newspapers and channels. To commemorate her outstanding achievements, Aakanksha Bhargava was awarded with three prestigious awards, 'Women of Worth' by Outlook Business in 2017, ‘Woman Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Franchise India Awards 2016 and the ‘Best Woman Leader’ award at the Business Today SME Awards in 2015.
Her journey didn’t just start 10 years back but much earlier as a child, she used to accompany her father on home survey’s during holidays. Back then the only fascination she had was seeing her father proficiently surveying homes and ensuring that his customers have one of the best moving memories with them. Never did she know that her fascination would slowly simmer deep in her heart and later turn into a passionate career option for her.
Today, as a young second generation entrepreneur, Aakanksha Bhargava skillfully spearheads an unconventional business which is not sought after by many young women to say the least. She strongly believes “There is no such thing as limitations. The only limitations are the ones the mind acknowledges.” and hence whenever you meet her you would find her sharing her life experiences to encourage people face their fears over a hot cup of coffee. If not this, you can find her boldly proclaiming the beautiful reality of supporting more than 500 families while working for a common goal of having a professional relocation solution for her customers. Her passion is not limited to PMR but also extends to travelling both; within India and overseas, reading books and exploring the world.
She also keeps in touch with her creative side and hobbies and has been taking piano, Indian classical vocal and golf lessons. Her organization also engages with multiple CSR initiatives, and she is keen to aggressively work on the similar initiatives and contribute her part towards the growth and development of individuals.
