MSME, or the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, have their place in the industrial forum of the country. Whether we talk about India or globally, the MSMEs are slowly and gradually making their mark across the whole world.
The MSME Act was started in 2006 to provide these micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises with the opportunities and assistance to grow and expand in times to come. With financial support, investment plans, lesser taxes & bills, subsidies, and certifications, MSMEs have been backed up in a lot many ways by the government.
The shackles of Stereotypes:
Being provided with all the aid and grants, these enterprises hold their challenges like any other enterprise. A large section of society still looks down upon MSME for several reasons. Some judge them for their sustainability, others doubt their capability to stand out.
It is true that some businesses could not work out real and bore the brunt of inevitable challenges. The others couldn’t expand further due to the factors such as lack of demand or funding that could provide financial support. However, it is a matter of pride for me to say that no matter what the challenges were, PMR stood out as one of the strongest MSMEs so far and continues to excel with the right conviction and intent.
MSMEs contribute to the Indian Economy on a vast scale. About 30% of India’s GDP in the Financial Year 2020 has been the contribution of these small-scale enterprises. Hence, one must realize that we make up the biggest part of the country’s economy.
Challenges from the Pandemic:
Especially, when we talk about the two yearlong pandemics that made it almost impossible for many businesses to crop up and even shut down the legacy that sustained through the years, the MSMEs were facing even more. They lacked budget and funding, and the consistency of their resources was breaking apart.
To avoid cost-cutting, there was a lack on the supply side of employees and workers. The unemployment rate went on rising as a result of the terror that came with permanent closures for companies. But, PMR sustained in providing maximum support to its people and rather works more devotedly towards employee engagement that could keep the employees mentally fit in times of global crisis. The size of our team stayed consistent and by staying united we crossed our business economy milestone of achieving 100 cr.
Be who you are, and be good at it! Rise among the odds:
The milestone achieved, indeed, proves our power to maintain sustainability as an MSME Unit. While in the relocation industry, it was way more challenging to maintain the workforce and bring demand, our company only saw miracles happening.
Our legacy had been in moving families, but Covid had abridged that demand. Therefore, we decided to move anything and everything we could because that is where our expertise lies. We moved commercial goods and medical equipment all around the country. We also moved concentrators and oxygen cylinders as a part of our CSR activity. We did everything to make “sustainability” our defining characteristic. The only thing we didn’t do was that we didn’t stop, we never have!
Having the Right Intent:
PMR has always learned to improve with every stage and testing phase Covid has only taught us to improve beyond by learning from our mistakes. We have always aimed toward professional development and stand under the oath of providing our customers & clients with total satisfaction and happiness. Even in times of crisis, we have worked towards keeping our people healthy and sound through various employee engagement activities. <
We have excelled ever since and continue to do so with our dedication towards our work. Because we believe that the ‘Intent’ behind anything you do is the key. With the right intent, PMR has touched newer heights and managed to stand out in the Mobility Sector. Not only that, it has broken the stereotypes that have been attached to small-sized enterprises. And, it would be suiting to say that we are proud of who we are and we are proud to be an MSME.
